“Sandman” Being Developed For Television
Author Neil Gaiman's popular graphic novel, "The Sandman" is being developed as a potential television series according to the Hollywood Reporter. Warner Brothers is currently pursuing the rights to the graphic novels to develop it for television and according to the Reporter, former "Supernatural" producer Eric Kripke tops the list for producer and show runner.
Bauer: “True Blood” Finale Will Kick B***
Actress Kristin Bauer says that her True Blood character Pam is going to "kick butt" in the upcoming finale. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Bauer promised that fans will enjoy the last episode of the season. "It's going to be exciting," she said. "It's going to be intense. And the vampire world has a major shift."
The guest list for season four of "Chuck" just keeps growing. In addition to the pivotal role of Chuck's mom being played by Linda Hamilton, you can add actor Harry Dean Stanton to the list. EW's Michael Ausiello reports that Stanton will have a recurring role, beginning int he season premiere.
Only a few more weeks until the return of "The Big Bang Theory" and we've got news on some great guest casting. "Star Trek" alum George Takei will have a guest role on the upcoming season. And he'll cameo in an episode that features the return of Katie Sackoff.
Serling: I Wasn’t Able to Make Science Fiction
One of the most respected series in television history is Rod Serling's "The Twilight Zone." And while many TV fans think of the series as sci-fi, its creator Rod Serling would disagree. In a recently discovered interview that is showing on YouTube, Serling says he wasn't able to make science-fiction.
“Trek” Theme Leads Voting for Wake-Up Call on Final Shuttle Mission
The first shuttle program got its name from the original "Star Trek" so it's only fitting that the final shuttle mission see its crew wake up to the theme from the classic series. NASA is holding an on-line poll to pick music as a wake-up call for the astronauts on the final shuttle mission. And leading the way is the original (and best) "Star Trek" theme by Alexander Courage. The music leads the voting with close to400,000 votes so far. The theme from "Star Wars" is also in the mix, but only getting 12,661 at the time.
“Piranha 3-D” Execs Fire Back at Cameron
Earlier this week, James Cameron called out "Piranha 3-D" saying that he didn't like the way 3-D technology was being used for the film. Now the production team has fired back at the director, who was removed from "Piranha 2" years ago. Producer Mark Canton responded to Cameron on Deadline, saying:
We already know the Thing will be CG for the upcoming "Fantastic Four" reboot. But the big question is--who will provide the voice for the character?
McCoy In Running for “Hobbit” Role
British actor Sylvester McCoy, best known for his work as the seventh Doctor on "Doctor Who," is currently in discussions to play a hobbit in the upcoming big-screen version of "The Hobbit." But it may be the role he was originally linked to.

Cameron Critical of “Pirahna 3-D”
Irony, thy name is James Cameron. A few weeks ago, Cameron was insisting that someday 3-D would become as common as sound and color in films. Until then, Cameron thinks that 3-D should only be used for the right kind of project and according to him, "Piranha 3-D" is not the right kind of project.
After a two week run at the top of the box-office chart, two new comers knocked off "The Expendables." "The Last Exorcism" took in $21.3 million to debut at the top of the box-office. It was closely followed by "Takes" which took in $21 million.

“Doctor Who” Series Six Will Be Split
The upcoming series of "Doctor Who" will be split into two halves. Producer Stephen Moffat broke the news this past weekend at the Edinburgh TV Festival, saying "The split series is hugely exciting because viewers will be treated to two premieres, two finales and more event episodes. For the kids it will never be more than a few months to the next Doctor Who! Easter, Autumn, Christmas!!"

“Doctor Who” Telemovie Coming to DVD in North America
That loud whoop of "Hallelujah!" you heard was our news director finding out that at long last, a commercial release of the 1996 "Doctor Who" telemovie is coming to DVD in North America. Originally aired on FOX as a potential back-door pilot to an American continuation of the show, the movie only aired once on the FOX network but has been rebroadcast for years on SyFy.
“Doctor Who” Games Coming to Wii, DS
If you've got a Wii or a DS, you can soon be traveling through time and space with the Doctor. BBC Worldwide has announced two new Doctor Who games for Nintendo Wii and DS. The new games, which are to be produced by Asylum Entertainment, will be released by Christmas.

Now comes a story from the UK's Daily Telegraph that the BBC is eager to hang on to the young actor until at least 2013. That date is significant for "Who" fans--it's the fiftieth anniversary of the show.
Pinewood Studio Head “Sure” We’ll See More Bond
